As we all reflect on the impact of COVID-19, a year like no other, we are so grateful for the support of the Think Brick Awards community.
The theme of this year is “Down to Earth”, giving us the opportunity to truly acknowledge the natural environment from which our favourite building materials are derived, celebrating the innate textures, hues, and characteristics of masonry.
Judging the entries has been a beacon of relief from the relentless struggle of lockdown, and we were stunned by the creative avenues explored, and limits challenged when designing masterpieces of clay brick, concrete masonry, and roof tiles.
This year, the jury panel comprised of Elizabeth McIntyre (Think Brick Australia), Amy Muir (MUIR Architecture), Sue Barnsley (Sue Barnsley Design, Asher Galvin (BVN), Adrian Spence (Richards & Spence) and Geoff Warn (With Architecture Studio).
The Think Brick Awards cover six categories: The Horbury Hunt Commercial Awards, the Horbury Hunt Residential Award, the Kevin Borland Masonry Award, the Bruce Mackenzie Landscape Award, the Robin Dods Roof Tile Excellence Award, and the New Entrant Award. Winners will each receive a $10,000 cash prize.
