Think Brick Masterclass 2010
The inaugural Think Brick Masterclass is now underway at Sydney’s Chowder Bay.
To follow the progress of our participants visit our Brick Masterclass websiteThink Brick Australia's Brick Masterclass 2010 is a new initiative designed to champion the qualities and attitudes needed to meet the current and future demand for excellence in the building and construction industry. We’re looking for qualified bricklayers who show the leadership, passion and craft skills to become examples of a new generation of Australian bricklayer.
The Brick Masterclass is an annual 5 day live-in program designed to help 11 qualified bricklayers hone their skills and become the best they can be. The program covers various aspects of leadership, management and craftsmanship and is split into two main components - theoretical and practical.
Participants will learn aspects of theory including leadership, team management and personal development as well as practical skills including craft and design. Participants will have the chance to work with and learn from a bricklaying master craftsman.
On completion of the Masterclass, the participants will graduate in a special event attended by the media and guests including leading members of the brick industry and government representatives. The event will also feature a prestigious keynote speaker to round off this celebration of a new elite group of Australian bricklayers.
