Brick Cleaning Accreditation

NSW Brick cleaners are able to achieve industry accreditation by successfully completing a new course. The two day course has both theoretical and practical components and covers general cleaning and correct identification and removal of all common brickwork stains.

Brick cleaners wanting to achieve accreditation are required to pass a basic classroom/workshop component of the course, followed by an on-site assessment. Those brick cleaners who achieve accreditation will then be listed on our website.

Builders in New South Wales who use accredited brick cleaners from the website list will have their work warranted by the manufacturer whose bricks were cleaned.

However, whilst the brick manufacturer will warrant the work for the builder, the brick cleaner will be responsible for any problems caused due to improper cleaning techniques.

The fee for the course and accreditation is $1,250. However, as an incentive for brick cleaners to become accredited, the New South Wales brick manufacturers who are members of Think Brick Australia will pay $850 towards the course cost for NSW brick cleaners with two years’ prior experience in brick cleaning, or a trade certificate; cleaners must also have their own cleaning equipment. The 2-day courses will be held at Randwick TAFE in Sydney as and when sufficient numbers of cleaners express interest.
