Think Richest Design Awards 2014. Think Brick, Block and Roof Tile

Think Brick Awards (14/12/2015)

The search is on again to reward architects in Australia’s richest design awards with the largest cash prizes for each category on offer. Think Brick Australia are calling for architects to enter their contemporary built projects across five categories.

It will feature the prestigious Horbury Hunt Awards in both residential and commercial designs. The awards ensure that architects, builders, bricklayers and manufacturers are recognised for their innovative designs.

The 2014 Awards will introduce the roof tile category. In collaboration with the Roofing Tile Association of Australia, the Roof Tile Excellence Award will applaud Australian architectural designs using concrete and terracotta roof tiles.

Due to architects’ demands, the concrete masonry category has expanded to include residential projects. TheKevin Borland Masonry Award rewards architects who have discovered the design potential of concrete masonry in either commercial or residential built projects.

The landscape category for 2014 is named after renowned landscape architect, Bruce Mackenzie and continues to reward innovative landscape designs using clay brick, concrete pavers and masonry. This category includes non-building projects that have aesthetically and structurally enhanced the quality of its surrounding environment.

Along with the $10,000 cash prize for each category, a Grand Prix Prize will be awarded to the overall best entry across all five categories. The winner will win two Business Class tickets to Venice Biennale 2016.
